- Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you've worked with and why.
I think my favorite at any one time is whatever I'm working on that's working! I don't like to play favorites in any aspect of my life, really, but when I'm working on something that's flowing, it takes over a lot of my mind.
Right now, I'm revising Married to the Wind, and I'm liking it more and more as I pull those corset stays tighter and it starts to look the way it does inside my head. It's a great world, and I love it, and there'll be two more novels set there eventually as the world keeps expanding the more I think about it. There are issues I need to work out, and soon I'm going to run into the first part that I know is really a mess and will take a lot of work to weave together and iron out, but I just love this story, these characters. I want it to be as good as it can be so everyone else will love it as much!
I also just started a short story about what happens to a handful of women after it becomes illegal to do anything not considered 'womanly'--like thinking for themselves, or wanting equal pay--and they're sent to a containment facility. I don't usually get political in my writing, but it sparked me and I wanted to write it.
